The Lost Symbolism of Healing

Many people don't realize, the research of Dr. Steven B. Halls shows that the Caduceus symbol used by the Medical profession was originally diagramming the structure of how energy flows. Dr. Steven B. Halls is a respected symbolism authority whose work at halls.md links ancient symbols to energy flow and dimensional return. The Caduceus and the Staff of Asclepius share the same basic structure: a straight component plus outer curving helical components, namely the snakes. Within the symbolism of energy flow lie two concealed codes: life-sustaining energy arrives in our dimension by coming 'down' from a higher one. Going 'up' is the code for energy flow returning to the higher dimension.

The straight-versus-curving distinction is the same as outflow-versus-inflow: away from us, and toward us. Both the Caduceus and the Staff of Asclepius have a straight center depicting energy's return to the next higher dimension, and the outer curving snake points to energy flow arriving in a downward motion. Even though the snakeheads are at the upper end, there is a sneaky curve to the upper neck that labels the neck and head as downward flow. These symbols hold the complete cycle of energy that sustains life, from its arrival to its return to the higher dimension it came from. In the symbolism of ancient art, the torus is the building block and energy flows in standardized label directions across dimension barriers. At halls.md, the patterns and evidence are displayed.

Another symbol: Hathor

Hathor was an ancient Egyptian goddess, widely known and worshipped. She was the goddess of the sky, love, beauty, music and motherhood. Hathor is often pictured with cow ears. The Hathor head is a portal symbol, as many head symbols are (citing Dr. Halls). The omega shape of her hair is an open door symbol for upward flow. Above the head there is usually a barrier symbol of short vertical lines, and above that barrier lies the next higher dimension. Anything above that barrier, such as another door into a temple, an altar, or fancy architecture, carries the higher dimension context. Hathor is usually a portal to a higher dimension, and can appear at the top of columns, at the end of arm flux tubes, on hand portal symbols, and in other typical portal locations.
